Nepalese Christians comprise only 3% of the population & face serious persecution from their Hindu & Buddhist neighbours. Evangelization by non Hindus is illegal in Nepal but many christians face hatred simply for their faith.
The devastating 7.8 earthquake destroyed many Nepalese churches & killed as many as 150 christians.
Dr Deborah Strong is a missionary to Nepal. At present she is helping to rebuild the destroyed churches in remote areas. As a church we are delighted to be able to contribute to the building of God's kingdom by helping with the rebuilding.
Deborah's sending church has a web page here: NEWLIFE
They support a variety of different ministries for those interested in learning a little more.

KG5 & Rabqa considering the set~up.
In 20 13 our local council granted us permission to hold *Church~in~the~Park* on the first Sunday of every month. For the past 2 years we have had Church~in~the~Park every 1st Sunday of the month & never once has it rained! That hour is the Lord's & it is always dry & usually warm & sunny no matter what happens before or after our hour. This year we decided to expand & asked our council for an evening couple of hours for *Praise*. This too has been granted. Tonight we set up for our very first time & the Lord ensured we had a perfect evening for it & plenty of passing traffic.
Praise in the Park will be on the 1st Sunday evening of every month from about 5.30pm ~ to 7.30 pm.
As Twilight fell Praise to the Lord of Glory rose.
We are also pleased to say Church in the Park is growing month by month with anywhere from 50~100 people hearing the Gospel of Grace preached with boldness each month. Many have nearly missed their boat because the Living Word enpowered by the Holy Spirit is so coming alive for them.
This month's preaching topic is Grace. Next month we will be discussing The Lord's Prayer.
